Brocatelle:
is a fabric that reproduces brocade (brocade is a fabric made of a silk warp and weft with additional gold or silver threads. It is a kind of rich lampas) but lighter, with small drawings and less rich than the latter. Gold and silver are excluded and silk only enters the brooch only.
The weft (thread) forms the bottoms and the chain (silk) forms the figures. The bottom shot is in linen thread.
Like the lampas, the brocatelle is made in tone on tone or in several colors woven or thrown.
